I have to speak out about Julie-Su. I am sick of all the people I see writing nasty things about her. Julie-Su is the best character that has been created in a long time. First, she is something that you don't see in the Sonic/Knuckles Universe. Julie-Su is a female who kicks butt better than just about everyone except Knuckles and Sonic. If you have a problem with that...TOUGH!! Another thing, Julie-Su and Knuckles are not girlfriend/boyfriend yet. Both refer to the other as a "friend" (even after the "First Date" arc, read Espio's story in Knuckles #30). I don't see why people have a problem with Knuckles marrying Julie-Su. One thing about Knuckles: Twenty Years Later is that it takes place TWENTY YEARS LATER!!! I would think that Knuckles would be married and have at least one child when he is 36, I mean - c'mon here. Julie-Su is perfect for him because she's a fighter. Nothing wrong with Lara-Le and the previous wives, but in Knuckles' line of work, the last thing he needs to add to his worries is a wife who is completely dependent on others to protect her. Another thing about Julie-Su, if you check out her personality, it is exactly like Knuckles, only from a girl's perspective (I'd know because I'm a girl). So if you like Knuckles, and don't like Julie-Su, you probably don't like really independent, strong-minded girls because that's all Julie-Su is. Or maybe you always want guys to do most of the fighting and girls to just sit back and watch or just be the ones who do all the computer work or strategic planning, like Sally. I like Sally, but Julie-Su is step above Sally when it comes to independent girls. Also, I don't think it should matter that Julie-Su is from the Dark Legion. I think that's one of the best things about her and the fact that Knuckles likes her enough to call her a "friend." It shows that Knuckles isn't narrow-minded and is willing to accept those that are different from him as long as they're on his side. Julie-Su proves that it is not impossible for someone to change their ways. I really hope those two can have a meaningful relationship, which means they stay as friends for now (even though they're dating) and probably for the whole time the Sonic comics run (Knuckles comics should NOT be cancelled, I had to add that). The characters are teenagers and will remain teenagers, unless SEGA decides to make Sonic a 20 year old. Teenagers fall in love. It's natural, and Knuckles may be a loner, but even loners fall in love and get married. They're not getting married now. The earliest date would be when Knuckles turns 18 (I would love to see that wedding).
